December 2014

Zuriel travels to London to show her documentary, and appears on a Global TV Station to talk about her project.

She is formally welcomed to London by the Mayor of Lambeth, and she visits the Nigerian Embassy, where she is received by the Ambassador.

Lambeth Academy of Arts, opened earlier by HRH Queen Elizabeth II welcomed Zuriel to talk to students about education and to show some of her various documentary works.

November 2014

"A Promising Africa", Zuriels first documentary on the big screen debuts in Lagos Nigeria at the civic center. It was attended by Business Leaders, Diplomats, and Nollywoods biggest director -Kunle Afolayan.

The documentary showed at Film House Cinema in Lagos and other locations, making her the youngest producer/director to feature in a commercial cinema.

Zuriel receives an award from Nigeria's most respected diplomat - Ambassador Dr. Christopher Kolade, for her work on Global Child Education development.

She appears on 5 TV shows, to talk about her new documentary. They are Seriously Speaking, Deji 360, Your View, Nike Oshinowo and Ndani TV's Spotlight.

October 2014

The Ebola epidemic in West Africa meant ALL hands were needed to educate, inform, and prevent the spread of the disease. Zuriel and her Dream Up, Speak Up project launched a hand sanitation campaign among school children in Lagos, Nigeria's most populous city. Zuriel gave out cool hand sanitizers to encourage school children to carry and use them every 4 hours.

Africa's largest movie industry - Nollywood, held its 3rd award ceremony at the InterContinental Hotel. Zuriel Oduwole was a special guest of the organizers, and was invited to speak with many TV networks covering the event about her first 2 documentaries .

Shunning ALL other TV networks, Bill Cosby meets in Los Angeles and speaks with young Zuriel Oduwole, who has sat down to interview 14 Presidents & Prime Ministers, global business leaders, civil rights icons and sports personalities.

August 2014

After a busy July, Zuriel continues the last leg of her project, making a return visit to Nigeria and the US, where a growing recognition of her programs and support for her initiatives are recorded.

She visits the Guardian Newspaper, is appointed a Goodwill Ambassador to encourage reading by the Rainbow book club and managers of Port Harcourt World Book Capital project.

Notable signatories to the project footballs include the Governor of Rivers State, the First Lady of Lagos State, the first Nobel Prize Winner for Literature in Africa, and the director general of the US Peace Corps in Washington DC.

Africa's largest airline; Ethiopian Airlines In-Flight magazine 'Selamta' features Zuriel and her accomplishments prominently in their August edition read by many thousands of passengers, under the title "Small Wonder".



July 2014

Zuriel begins the fourth country of her 6 country 3 continent travel on the #FollowTheBallForEducation project.

In western Nigeria, she presented awards to the leadership of Osun State in recognition of their various education initiatives [feed the children, new schools, IT initiatives].

In Ethiopia, Zuriel visits the government run Addis Katema Girls school in Addis Ababa to launch her Dream Up, Speak Up, Sand Up project, and talk about her #FollowTheBallForEducation project

A few miles uphill in Entoto village, Zuriel and her younger sisters present school supplies to children at the Entoto village primary school

Corporates, Embassies and other organizations welcome her warmly along the way in support of her #FollowTheBallForEducation project.

In Mauritius, the Minister for Gender Development signs the Ball for Education.

June 2014

As the whole world wears a new address in June 2014 - destination Brazil, much of the attention is on the 32 countries sending their warriors into football's largest battle.  On the sidelines, Zuriel makes  a quiet entry into Brazil to begin shooting her next documentary, while launching her #FollowTheBallForEducation project, which would take her to 6 countries across 3 continents on Children's Education.

The General Manager of Sheraton Hotel Rio De Janeiro welcomes his youngest VIP to the hotel, also the official residence of the Argentina football team and Lionel Messi.

Fans from more than 16 nationalities sign the balls for education in Brazil, including the Brazilian Special Protection unit in support.


May 2014

As part of her initiative to bring a stronger and wider attention to the challenges of Girls Education in Africa, Zuriel visited several TV networks in London - England.

These include the BBC's LIVE Focus on Africa Program, and the ARISE TV's Global News Studios, in Haymarket - London. She spoke on issues ranging from the Chibok Girls current search, and the need for "Safe Education" for Girls in Africa, and her goals moving forward.

Continuously making a global impact on the issue of children's education, especially Girls Education, Zuriel has met with and interviewed the Prime Minister of St Vincent & The Grenadines; H.E. Honorable Ralph Gonsalves, and the Prime Minister of St Kitts & Nevis; H.E Honorable Denzil Douglas., to talk about this subject. Earlier, she has interviewed the Prime Minister of Jamaica; H.E The Most Honorable Portia Simpson Miller. She has now met with three leaders from the Caribbean region.

April 2014

Zuriel & Azaliah Oduwole convene a colloquy on Girls Education,  and invite First Ladies, Ambassadors and other education stakeholders to speak at the event.

The colloquy is a follow up to her highly successful Dream Up, Speak Up, Stand Up program, delivered in [4] African countries [Tanzania, Nigeria, Malawi and Mauritius], where she has spoken to more than 3000 Girls on the importance of education.

Adults, policy makers, and female leaders were the main partners in the Colloquy, to develop a partnership in her quest for Girls Education in Africa.
 
The theme was 'practical education solutions, ONE village at a time'

March 2014

Nigeria's newest bank and driver of exceptional customer experience, Heritage Bank, has appointed Zuriel as its Children's Financial Literacy Brand Ambassador, ahead of the Global Money Week.

As part of the Global Money week from March 10th to March 17th, Zuriel visited 2 schools in Nigeria to speak to them on Financial Literacy. These are Corona School in Lagos, and Ado Ekiti Grammar School, in Ekiti State.

February 2014

Ebony Life TV, Africa's newest continental entertainment powerhouse, hosted Zuriel as a guest on four of its flagship shows.

They are the highly rated 'Moments with Mo', 'EL Now', 'EL News', and 'The Spot'.

Zuriel was invited to return and share her future projects with the networks growing viewership.


January 2014

American girl of Mauritian origin in the context of her for 
"Dream Up, Speak Up, Stand Up” programme  in January.  
   
Zuriel Oduwole, 11 years,  interviewed Hon Mrs Mireille Martin at
her office and participated  at an interactive session with
young Mauritian students organised by the  Ministry and the National Children Council.
